PEANUT CAN TRIVET

14 Peanut Cans
Exacto Knife
Masking Tape
24 Guage Steel Wire

1. Using the Exacto knife, cut the trim off 14 peanut cans. Trim away any cardboard caught in the metal.
2. Place 6 peanut can rims around one peanut can rim. Tape the rims together around the center circle.
3. Wire the 6 adjacent rims together where they touch at the sides. Do not wire the center rim, but keep it in the center to hold the shape of the trivet. Make two trivets.
4. Place one set of circles on top of the other set of circles making sure the joins in the bottom set are in the center of the circles in the top set.
4. Tape the two sets of circles together. To wire the sets together, wrap the wire around a join in the bottom set, stretch the wire to the next join in the top set of circle and wrap with wire around. Then stretch the wire to the next join in the bottom set. Continue in this manner until to both sets are wired together. Remove the masking tape.
