Don't throw out your Christmas Cards. Make beautiful gift tags for next christmas. Use a scissors or the die cuts from your scrapbooking supplies. The round or square die cuts are the best, but any of the large die cuts are great. The one you choose may depend on the design on the card.

Trim the edge off the lid of an old plastic container such as a butter tub. Place the plastic on the Christmas card to find the best part of the Christmas card. Trace around the plastic and cut out the shape with a scissors. Or, place the card in the die cut machine and punch out the shape.

Write To: and From: on the back of the card.

Sometimes you can get two or three gift tags from one card. Cut a circle, and then a half moon. Snip the corner to have a little foldout card. Cut the back part out too. If some one was nice enough to take the time to write you a little note, cut out the front and the back of the card and glue them together.

Punch a hole in the edge of the gift tag. Push a few inches of string through the hole and tie the ends. Now you are ready for next Christmas!
